Vacation Deals

I have been looking for different vacation deals and discount cruises on the internet. Ryan and I found a really good place to stay in at Puerto Galera. I found Hollywood Palm Beach Resort, a new resort with a swimming pool. I have heard a lot of good feedbacks from the resort so I decided to contact them. The owner gave me 30% discount because I told him that I am student on a budget. We will go to Puerto Galera on April 19 to 21. I promise to post some pictures after the vacation.

My sister will be going to another destination that same weekend. Together with her friends, they are off to Batangas. I found some good resorts online with really good packages for a group of 15. Sigayan Bay Beach Resort in Laiya-Aplaya San Juan, Batangas seems like a good place to stay. They have different amenities to offer and their accommodations are pretty reasonable.

My cousin is currently enjoying a week in Aspen. She found a package for cheap ski vacations, and she plans to try out the Hawaii vacation packages, too.

Anyway, I caught the flu the other day, so I spent most of my time in bed, or on the couch, doing nothing. Well, I was watching TV most of the time, and then I sleep. My head was pounding and throbbing, but now, I woke up feeling OK. My temperature is normal, thank heavens! It’s a great thing that my sister is an incoming senior nursing student. She took care of me and my brother. Yes, my brother caught it, too.

Some Discoveries

passportI woke up this morning and discovered that my passport is here along with Ryan’s. That means we’re ready for travel! In our passport, it says, “Not valid for travel to Iraq.” I do not have plans to go there, as it is quite scary. Now that we have the passport, we can carry on making plans for future travels. Of course, we don’t need it to go to Puerto Galera, as mentioned in my previous post, but surely, Asia is our first continental target. Nope, we’re not blowing up a country!

coke zero Another discovery is Coke Zero. It’s like drinking Coke without the sugar. Yep, it doesn’t taste like your regular diet sodas. I am trying to cut back on fatty food, since I am going to the beach and I will be working soon. I have lost at least 2lbs., cool huh? All because of eating everything in moderation. I cut back on my rice intake, less soda, more water, less bread, more fruits and veggies. I just started last week and my previous professor in school already noticed the change and commented, “You’re looking slimmer.” I knew my new plan would work, eating everything but in moderation. I can still eat my favorite chips, but only a handful; and notice the coke inside the glass? It’s not even full even if I know there’s no sugar.

I also had a medical-related discovery. Well, it is quite fashionable, too.

Tripping

My Tito Celso and Tita Susan will be leaving for the US on April 5. I jokingly said, “Can I fit into your suitcase?” Of course, that’s just impossible. I just got my password today and with no visa, I can’t come with them. They would be visiting my aunts and cousin in the US, but their trip is actually for business. I want a job that sends me overseas. My aunt told me to buy my grandmother a calling card so that she can call them anytime. There are lots of Philippine calling cards to choose from and I think the AT&T phone card is the cheapest.

My mom told my aunt to take lots of pictures and possibly some video footages because it’s been a long time since our relatives from the US have been here. The last time they visited Spain, they forgot to bring their camera. My aunt from Spain was the one who sent us the pictures.

Ryan and I plans to go to the beach this April. We haven’t finalized any plans, but Puerto Galera is definitely on the list. I wanted to go by April 5-7, but Ryan is quite hesitant due to lack of funds, so we might do it on April 19-21. I’ve invited some friends but I haven’t received any replies yet, hopefully, people would want to come with us.

Summer is really here. The heat is so inevitable! I want to bathe all day long…
