Been A Long Time
Mar 1, 2007 Daily Blurbs, Stuff
Oh my, oh my… it’s been more than a week since I last blogged. Having no internet connection at home really sucks. According to PLDT, our DSL connection is still being processed. A lot has happened in the past week. Yesterday, I successfully upgraded to Wordpress 2.1.1 without experiencing any errors. Thank heavens!
[EDIT]I’ve upgraded to WP 2.1.2[/EDIT]
Last Friday, my classmates and I went to a seminar that talked about being an IT student. I thought that it would be for our school, but apparently, it was actually hosted by our college for high school students across our province. We listened to two good speakers. The first one imparted knowledge about being an effective student, while the other gave us ideas about some softwares that we can use for digital imaging, and animation. Of course, I already have the skills in using Adobe Photoshop and Macromedia Flash, but it was really cool when I found out about Acid 2.0, a software that can do music mixes; plus Morphing. There was a concert after the seminar but we decided to skip it and just eat. Ryan came to see me and he ate with us, girls, at Tokyo Tokyo. The guys went some place else to eat. I bought a new mic for my computer, too.
On Saturday night, my whole family attended my aunt’s birthday at Seafood Island, a restaurant at Market Market. The food was delicious! I just love seafood. I was stuffed after eating. Good thing it’s seafood, so I don’t have to worry about gaining weight. Yep, I’ve lost 13.2lbs since January; 7 more pounds to go and I’m back to my old figure. I’ve actually been putting off getting back in shape. Mind you, it’s hard to lose weight than gain. Ryan’s been very supportive and tries to eat the food I eat. Haha!
Sunday, I bought lots of DVDs. I got the seasons 1&2 of Lost, season 1 of Ugly Betty, and some random movies. I’ve finished watching Ugly Betty, and I actually liked it. I can’t wait to get my hands on the new season DVD. Ryan and I started watching season 1 of Lost 2 days ago. We’re on the 13th episode and I can tell you that it is also addicting. I mean, I can’t even predict what’s going to happen next. I told Ryan to go watch the rest at his house, and I’ll continue watching in mine. His uncle’s got the DVDs of Lost, too.
Anyway, my school is being really weird and annoying. Yesterday, I purposely didn’t go to school early. Then I received a text from my classmate, informing me that we have no classes. It’s the same thing for today. They arrived at school and found that the lights are off and the rooms are locked. They should’ve informed us of this seminar and not let us waste our time and money traveling to school. So basically, this school week has been a waste, including the first two days where no professor showed up. How fun is that? Argh!

Storm Signal # What?
Dec 1, 2006 Daily Blurbs
Wow, this is a long vacation! :cheerful:
I was watching the news when suddenly they announced that a storm is coming to the Philippines and it is a very strong one. Some parts of the country has already been taken over by the storm at signal #4. In our province, we didn’t get any rain or strong winds, everything was peaceful and normal from morning until 9pm. But after that, the air feels really cold and it started drizzling.
Now, I’m worried that Ryan and I won’t be able to go shopping tomorrow afternoon. We’ve been waiting for this for days now. Ugh… We’ve formulated our plan of attack to all the stores at Market Market! I hope and pray that the storm goes away!
My old neighbor sent me an email about rhinoplasty Toronto. It was weird that she would talk about it, since she’s really pretty! But she dyed her hair purple… Ugh… I can’t believe she did that, either. People…
Since the opening of my message board last August 23 of this year, I’m so pleased to have lots of active members. I actually reorganized the boards, since for me, it felt a bit cluttered. So, I renamed some boards, added new categories and moved boards to their proper places. I like how everything is more organized now. Yay!
On Saturday, Ryan, me and a few of his friends, are going out for gimmick. JR, the mastermind, said that we’d start at Cable Car and then we’d go hop to different bars. I just hope that it doesn’t rain! Oh rain…
And yeah, time stamp: 12:02AM, I fucked up my message board… I did back up the database an hour ago, and I guess that’s a blessing in disguise. So, here I am, hoping that importing the database would help.

Get Over It
Sep 14, 2006 Daily Blurbs, School
Well… I was saddened by the fact that Toby Rand did not win Rockstar Supernova. I was in complete disbelief by the fact that Lukas Rossi won. I want a recount!
:outrage:
So, school was a bit boring today. On our Basic Computer Concepts (BASICON) class, we were divided into two groups and had a little contest. Whichever group wins gets an additional 2% on our pre-final grades. It was a raise to 10. Too bad we lost by 1 point. Oh well… It’s not like I need the additional 2%, but I was hoping my groupmates get the chance to get better grades because, according to our professor, they really need it.
During the class, I was called to the Dean’s Office for an interview for our school newspaper. I applied to be the Literary Editor. Two months before, I was hoping to be a part of the newspaper, but now, I am not even sure. This means that I will be very busy with school, the newspaper and Ryan, too. I might even have less time for Ryan, or myself. Well, let’s see what happens. I just hope for the best.
I am still trying to get used to Ryan’s new schedule. He now works from 4pm upto 1am. So that means, we have no time to talk on the phone anymore, because when I go home at 3pm, he’s already left for work. We try to catch up when he comes home at 1:30am. That leaves me sleeping quite late and too lazy to wake up in the morning. What can I do if the guy just misses me that much? Lol. Well, I miss him as much, too. *Yikes! The mushynessity!* (New word from GP)
Anyway, lots of birthdays are coming up this September. Tomorrow, the 15th, is Karl’s 25th birthday. On the 19th is JeAr’s 24th birthday and on the 23rd is Pao’s. I’ll see Ryan on Saturday because his friend, Myda, is having her birthday, too. Her real birthday is on the 19th as well. His other friend mentioned that it would be Videoke night. Lotsa singing and partying will go on until the morning. Ohmigah, Dré. Brace yourself!
I am currently coding a new theme for this blog. This theme has been up for quite a while, although I love it, some of you might be sick and tired of looking at the same old girl under an umbrella. It’s not even the rainy season anymore! Or, at least, it hasn’t been raining lately. A dark layout will be on its way soon. I might add a theme switcher plugin so if you don’t like the dark one, you can switch back to this.
My brother is better now. He already attended school yesterday. Then when my sister came home yesterday, she came down with fever, too. She still went to school today. She’s really diligent like that. Then, when I got home today, I found my mom in bed. She’s sick, too. Man! The virus has been passed on. I hope not to me! I hope they all feel better soon. My dad is coming home from work tomorrow. Our fridge needs some loving. There is virtually NO food! Hopefully, when my dad gets home tomorrow, they’d have time to do the grocery. I mean, our fridge only has water in it and some veggies.
Ohmen… I still can’t get over Lukas winning Supernova! Dilana would’ve been a better choice over him.
Get over it! Lol. :haha:
Have a great Friday everyone!
