1408 (2007)

I finally had the guts to watch the movie 1408. Horror, suspense and freaky films used to be my genre, but since I got easily spooked, I stopped watching. I still watch sometimes, but I never watch alone. I watch with my sisters or with friends.

The movie 1408 is a psychological horror film. It was a total mental torture for the main character, Mike1, and for me and my sister, too. The setting is in New York City at the Dolphin Hotel in room 1408. The hotel manager, played by Samuel Jackson tried to stop Mike to stay in the room, but since Mike is a known writer of spooky books, he still insisted to get the room.

Mike’s stay in the room is pure torture. I don’t think I can listen to the song “We’ve Only Just Begun” by The Carpenters. I would go nuts and it might stimulate nightmares! This movie kept me at the edge of my seat. If someone paid me a million dollars to spend an hour in that room, I would truly decline the offer. No way!

This is one of the creepiest from Stephen King. IT is second, just because clowns freak me out.

Lars and The Real Girl

The other day I watched the movie Lars and The Real Girl. I have never heard of this movie until I came across Helga’s list of movies. I scanned through her list and googled the titles. When I saw Ryan Gosling’s name attached to this movie, I immediately became interested. He played the main character, Lars.

What Happens In Vegas

what happens in vegas “Feel Good” movies are my favorites. I would rather laugh and cry watching a film rather than being scared out of my wits. Yesterday, Ryan and I saw the film What Happens in Vegas which stars Cameron Diaz and Ashton Kutcher. Prior to seeing this film, I saw Ellen’s show first because Ashton Kutcher was on the Thursday episode. Anyway, “What Happens in Vegas” is a typical story of a man and a woman falling in love in the craziest of situations. I mean, imagine waking up from a drunken night only to find out that you’ve been hitched with a ring from a vending machine! I am not going to say that the movie is all that but it did entertain me and had me laughing on most parts of the film.

I’ve never been in casinos. My cousin have been in a UK casino, he’s been living in London with his family and he said he even checks for London casino guide, not that he’s addicted to it, he was just trying to find places to unwind. He said, he even heard about Scotland casinos.

I’ve always loved how it feels like to fall in love for the first time but with a different person. You look at your life as though it is at its best. Everything is perfect and you feel invincible. The truth is, love is a lot of work, even if it’s new. How you make it last depends on how you work on it. Would you willingly extend your love for an overtime with little or no pay? Can you give up a break time just to make sure you’re loving efficiently?
