In line with our home improvement venture, I suggested to my mom to buy a new carpet for the living room. We removed the previous one months ago because it is quite hard to clean carpets. We currently do not have a vacuum, and since I am usually tasked to clean the living room, I always complain.
My dad then suggested that we buy a vacuum cleaner, but not just a vacuum cleaner. We need something that is sturdy and reliable. I looked online for an affordable, yet trusted brand, and electrolux vacuum cleaner seems to be the right choice. I tried to compare prices, but I took into consideration the quality and features of every model.
The first model that was highly recommended is the Electrolux EL5020 Bagged Upright Vacuum. The cord reach is upto 20 feet, which is good but not really necessary; the bag can be easily removed, but quite small, which is okay, since we will only use it for one carpet; and the design is upright, so you can easily move it over the carpet. The second model is the Electrolux 4870 Upright Vacuum. This one is much cheaper than the first one at $150. The cord reach is longer, 30 feet, but this one’s quite heavy to push and pull. The last model I looked at is the Electrolux EL7055A Bagless Canister Vacuum. This is actually quite cool since it doesn’t require a bag. It has a canister, instead of the bag, which is good because it is easier to clean. The reach is just right at 7 feet. I think that this is the best model for us to use.
I hope by the end of the year, we will have an improved home design.

Internship

My internship is nearing its end. Well, almost… 10 days more to go, well, 2 days in a week, that means 5 weeks more. I have done a lot of work for Adrien Multimedia, from brochures, to website graphics, web layouts, more brochures, a Christmas card, SEO and marketing, and I will be doing a lot more.
I have collated enough of my work there to add to my portfolio, which I haven’t the time to fix. I wanted it to be in flash, so that when I look for work, it’ll be flashy. *hahaha!*
On February, if everything goes as planned, we’re going to do trade show displays that will officially launch the company. We are to design shirts for that particular trade show.
My boss asked me if I want to stay with the company. I haven’t decided yet, and is keeping my options open. I really enjoy doing the graphics work there. I also learn some things from the senior designers. They’re all very talented and great with coding. I hope I can learn to do hard coding, too. They have their own CMS tool. I want to write one someday.

Stay Healthy

I believe that one of the topmost priority of an individual is to have a healthy body. Right now, we go through any lengths just to stay fit. We try different diets and exercises to achieve the body that we want.
But staying fit is not enough. We have to cover our bases, that’s why in addition to what we’re already doing, we need to have a health insurance. We cannot prevent all the diseases that can attack our immune system, and hospital bills are quite pricey. Getting a good insurance policy is a quite hard if you don’t know where to look.
Once you’ve got the correct diet regimen, regular exercise and a health insurance, you won’t have to worry about your health again.
