In Despair…?

It’s the first day of my summer vacation. That means NO school work until June! Yay! The final exam for my Digital Graphics & Photo Manipulation class was easy, IF we had enough time to do all 8 activities in TWO hours! I mean, imagine making different photo manipulations in 2 hours. As an artist, inspiration don’t just strike 8 times at 1 time. Specially if you are working with uncut and raw photos. I was tempted to ask my professor about the amount of time he spent making his sample finished manipulations. I wanted so badly to know if he finished all of those in 2 hours. Argh! But of course, I didn’t. Compared to my other professors, he’s the best among the worst.
Wednesday, Ryan and I had a little misunderstanding because of my classmates. He was annoyed when he found my classmates here at home, and I was in front of the computer, printing their school activities. The persons who were supposed to come over were only 4, but my thick-faced classmates tagged along with them. I already told them beforehand that I don’t like a lot of people to come over our house. But one of them insisted to the *allowed* visitors that I won’t be able to do anything if they’re already there. WTF?
Since I don’t want to be much of a bitch, I bought Gardenia tasty bread and cooked Lucky Me pancit canton. Good thing they bought their own bottle of Coke. I don’t want to sound like an ungracious host, but if you knew some of the people who came over, you would understand where I am coming from.
I am not much of a “party” person. I only like to hang out or party with my friends. I don’t like big crowds, or noisy bunches of annoying people. But enough of those annoyances…
I finally have time to update my websites and work on a project with Lexie. Hopefully, by April everything is good to go. I will be working on my free time to design some stuff, and learn more about PHP. It’s a good thing that Lexie’s friend gave me an e-book I can read.
Check out these pharmaceutical companies.

I don’t have any internet connection at home. I am only on dial-up and it sucks that scumbags stole the PLDT cables from our subdivision. So our phone is basically dead. Why would people do these kind of things? I know that it must cost something to sell those cables, but, why wouldn’t they just use their lazy asses and do something legally productive? Argh!
Anyway, I’ve seen a bunch of movies in the past week. I saw Pursuit of Happyness, starring Will Smith and his kid. It’s about a man named, Chris Gardner, who never stopped moving forward and striving hard to support his son. Life wasn’t easy for him, for he had to sacrifice months without salary as an intern for a company so he could land a job as a stock broker. He was so broke that him and his kid once slept at a train station’s restroom. After months of hardwork, he was rewarded the coveted spot in the company. They accept 20 interns and only one gets the job. In the year 2006, he was able to build a multi-million empire in the Stock business. It was a very inspiring movie. It made me cry in the end. Waah!
Blood Diamond. The film was set in Africa, were diamond trade in some parts are illegal. Basically, the movie revolved around Archer (Leonardo DiCaprio) trying to find the diamond that’s as big as a quail’s egg. One liner: “In the US, it’s bling bling. Here (Africa), it’s bling BANG!” Archer died in the end. Boohoo!
Ghost Rider. Honestly, I don’t prefer Nicolas Cage playing Johnny Blaze (Ghost Rider). For me, he doesn’t fit the part. Anyway, the film was almost 2hours short. Yes, it seems so short! I wasn’t really wowed, because it’s like the story was hurried. Plus, the way Blackheart was killed by the Ghost Rider was so, I don’t know, easy? “Look into my eyes!
Rocky Balboa. I watched it with Ryan yesterday. It was an OK movie. Nothing great about it. It seems that the movie was so short. I’ve seen all the Rocky films, and this last one lacks much action, and Sly Stallone cried! Pfft. In fairness to the film, the boxing scene was good. It’s like watching the Pacquiao-Morales match. Pretty exciting at some point, but it didn’t leave me glued to the tube.
I finally convinced my dad to have us subcribe for a broadband connection. I submitted the application today for PLDTmyDSL. I was supposed to try Globelines, but they don’t offer their service in our area. It would’ve been a better option, since they offer the Php995/mo for both the dsl connection and the phone line. I wish the people from PLDT contacts me soon to have DSL connection installed. I am quite excited. Yay to faster connection! (Up to 512mbps)
I’ve finished watching Grey’s Anatomy seasons 1 and 2. I started watching the season 3, but I was disappointed when the DVD only has 10 episodes. Gah. I don’t know if I’d be able to get the next episodes. I am addicted to this series like I am with Smallville. Maybe when my broadband is up and running, I’d be able to download the next episodes. I can’t wait! (Cosy In The Rocket is by Psapp, Grey’s Anatomy’s theme).
Summer here in the Philippines is just around the corner, and I can totally feel it! I am not so excited because it means that it would be too hot for me to bear! The weather now is too weird due to the effects of global warming. Last year’s heat was inevitable for me. I wonder what this year would be… I am currently suffering from wind burn. You know? That prickly sensation on your face? Like, it’s being burned or something. I hate it. Even if I wash my face the whole day, it just goes back. It started last Saturday. It’s so irritating. I wish I can tear off the skin on my face! I mean, I just applied a few acne treatments on my face. Aaarrghh!
MEREDITH: [narrating]
“Like I said, disappearances happen. Pains go phantom. Blood stops running and people, people fade away. There’s more I have to say, so much more, but… I disappeared.”
