90210 Nostalgia

It has been years since the last episode of Beverly Hills 90210 aired. I thought I’d never see Brenda or Kelly again, or the others.

I watched the 2-hour pilot and I felt a rush of nostalgia when the opening credits rolled, especially when I saw the sign, “West Beverly Hills High”. The theme song is the same, but modernized. Of course the Peach Pit is still there, but it is now more of a cafe than a burger joint.

I wasn’t expecting much from the show. The main character, Annie (Shenae Grimes), is kind of awkward, in my opinion. I guess, this spinoff is interesting and has its own challenges. I mean, Beverly Hills 90210 is a big part of those who grew up in the 90s.

The highlight for me is when Kelly and Brenda met at the Peach Pit. I wasn’t disappointed with the intensity of rekindling their ties to each other. I think Donna should join them, too. I await the next episodes. It is quite exciting to see the old characters merge with the new.

I can’t wait the air date in my country. I’ve started to be a fan of the last show, only at the end of it. So I missed lots of episodes and I became curious.

I have watched this show the past few weeks and I love it. I didn’t watch the original show as I was a young teen and the parents didn’t approve so it’s not to weird for me.
