Eye Check!

My brother accidentally sat on my mother’s eyeglasses. He didn’t even realize it until he stood up to go to the bathroom. The glass didn’t break, the frame did. I am surprised it didn’t leave a mark on my brother’s. So it’s time to make a trip to eye clinic and have her glasses replaced, well, the frames replaced. I am going with my mom because I need to get my eyes checked, too. Eyeglasses are so expensive, I noticed. My sister’s recent visit to the optometrist cost her a lot, as in 2500Php1 big ones. I wonder how much my glasses would cost, if I had to wear one. My mom doesn’t have to worry, I guess, because she only needs a frame. I’ve seen cute ones online.

Thoughts on Gossip Girl II

The second season of Gossip Girl just started. With all the viral videos that came out, being it more bold, I would say that we’re in for a better season. The first episode, “Summer, Kind of Wonderful”, was aired on September 1.

The troupe were in The Hamptons, a playground for the rich who own summer homes there. I won’t go into details, but basically, Serena and Nate had everyone fooled by pretending to be together during the Summer. Chuck Bass, would always be, Chuck Bass. With triplets in topless bikinis who I think swallowed the best diet pill to get into that shape. Blair returns with a hot guy, James. And Dan? He became a playboy after his breakup with Serena.

At first, I was annoyed with Dan, being that he turned out as a playboy after the breakup. I was more annoyed with Chuck, because he can’t even tell Blair he loves her, not want her. Then there’s Nate, getting it on with a married woman. I admit he became interesting because of this, but interesting in an annoying way.

Of course, I look forward to the next episode. Other than Gossip Girl, I am excited for Smallville’s new season, too.

New York City Lights

I have seen lots of movies where New York is the main setting. My cousin just came home from a New York trip with loads of photos and videos to show for. I was looking through her photos and found New York a really beautiful city. They were on foot most of the time, though, trying to inch the city of undiscovered or underground unique spots. They also saw the usual NY sights like the Statue of Liberty and they have a matching crown for that! Some of the photos, she said, were taken at Sex and the City hotspots. She’s a big fan of the show and she even showed me video stills from some episodes and then pointed to her photos to show me as evidence that it is a Sex and the City hotspot. I had to roll my eyes.

There are New York City Tours that you can choose from. The CitySights NY, with its double decker sightseeing tours is a company at New York City. On their website I saw that they have different tours to choose from. You can choose from their “All-Around Tour”, “Downtown tours”, “Night Tours” and more. They also offer attraction tickets, and daily trips to Boston, Washington DC and Philadelphi, plus if you want shopping trips, they can take you to Woodbury Common Premium Outlets.

The Big Apple is an interesting city to go to, with its sidestreets and main attractions. Judging from my cousin’s experience, I would say that it is going to be in my itenerary when I head to the US. Soon.
