I Hate Ants
Mar 24, 2008 Buzz, Daily Blurbs
Besides hating mosquitoes, I also hate ants, especially during the summer. Ants are everywhere! They multiply like there’s no tomorrow, just like flies do. I left my bagel with cream cheese on top of our dining table while I went out to buy soft drinks at the store, thinking it would be safe there, but was I wrong! After going out and getting back, I found my bagel with cream cheese surrounded! It was surrounded by those fast and black ants. Oh my snack! It’s been severely attacked. I am exaggerating. No I am not! Seriously.
So I went to the sink and I stared on the plate, my bagel with cream cheese, and those wild ants mocking me. I didn’t let the ants win, of course. I had to do something about this. My first thought was drown any ants with continuous running water, not just on my bagel with cream cheese, but on their ant hill. I tried to develop a sinister plan and began looking for their ant hill. I went outside and into our garden, I didn’t find them there. I went to our backyard and there they were. I asked my dad if ants could die in water, and said, they could but they can easily float and survive it. He recommended getting a bug spray.
I looked for our bug spray and found it. I started to shoot at them and sprayed them all to their extinction. I wish! While at it, I noticed another kind of ant, or were they ants? They are red and they have wings! I yelled for my dad and when he saw them, he realized those were termites! He asked for me to get Terminix, you know, the guaranteed termite assassinator! When I got back to him, he was ready to battle. He had on his head gear, a mask; gloves, so he won’t leave any fingerprints. After 15 minutes of treating the area, all we had to do was wait, wait for the queen.
Now, it was a success. I would’ve posted the picture of the termite queen, but, it was really disgusting. My dad had to squash it. I am so glad my bagel with cream cheese was attacked by those black ants, if not, we wouldn’t have discovered those termites. Summer does bring in a lot of unwanted insects!

Dreamy Garden
Mar 24, 2008 Buzz, Daily Blurbs
Ever want to have a garden that looks like the one on the picture? I’ve been through the
different houses in our neighborhood and you can actually guess if their garden is really beautiful by the looks of the plants outside. The most beautiful garden I’ve seen is my friend, Jerome’s. His dad is an architect and has toured around the world to work on different projects. He has worked with different companies and he said that the works of TruGreen inspired the look of his garden.
I want to have the best looking garden, too. I know that landscaping is quite expensive, but I am willing to pay for something that will make my dream house “dreamy” looking. I guess that would be a few years from now. I mean, I still need to find a job and save lots of money to actually buy a property. Hopefully, by the time I am 30, I’d have my own place and a beautiful garden with an amazing landscape.
Safeguard
Mar 23, 2008 Buzz, Daily Blurbs
Want a win-win situation? I mean buying something and making sure it will withstand the test of time. A lot of us buy pieces of furniture or home appliances that are on sale just because it is cheaper. But cheap doesn’t always mean it lacks quality. Not everyone can afford top of the line appliances for our home. Some of us would let a small dent on a furniture pass just because, well, it is cheap!
Getting things fixed and replaced around the house can give you lots of stress and money out the bank, and leaves the question of getting a home warranty. Of course, you want a sort of assurance that your investments will not turn into garbage after a short period of time. There are different companies that offer home warranties, and American Home Shield is one of those that can handle these things for you. Safeguarding your investments is a wise decision, I think.
