Heath Ledger, Dead (1979 - 2008)
Jan 23, 2008 Buzz, Daily Blurbs

Heath Ledger, a 28-year-old Australian actor, was found dead by his masseuse at his Manhattan apartment today, at 3:26PM EST. He was known for his roles as the rebel teen in 10 Things I Hate About You, a knight in A Knight’s Tale and his controversial roles as a homosexual cowboy in Brokeback Mountain.
According to reports, he died due to a sleeping pill overdose, that was found beside his bed. Police hasn’t confirmed yet if this is accidental or is suicide, but they ruled out foul play.
I took it as a very sad news. A friend of mine just sent me an SMS this morning to let me know what happened. I was shocked, of course, because I find him as a good actor. He was set to play the role of Joker for the upcoming movie “The Dark Knight“, a sequel from the movie, Batman Begins.
Anyway, one of my co-worker from my old job is getting married. He says the date is on February 23. I am so happy for him. I can just imagine them picking their wedding dress, the wedding flowers, the venue, and giving out wedding invitations. I need a dress to wear for this occasion!

Best Web Hosting Choice
Jan 23, 2008 Daily Blurbs, Hype
Most of you are aware that I am giving away a free domain and blog hosting. For those who aren’t please check out my contest entry to read the details. With that in mind, I looked up domain registration websites and the perfect web hosting service. Of course, the winner of my contest deserves to have a reliable web host, and it should also be affordable and not heavy on my pocket.
I searched online and found web hosting choice to be quite useful. They have this system where you can input your desired monthly budget, disk space requirement and bandwidth. Once you submit those information, it’s going to return search results with the list of potential hosting services.
My contest ends at the end of this month and I need to have a hosting space ready. I am still in search of the best service provider, but since I still have a few weeks left, I will have to read through everything before I make my final decision.

Sweeney Todd
Jan 21, 2008 Daily Blurbs

This afternoon, Ryan and I went to see Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. I am a big Johnny Depp fan, because in his movies, he always tries to reinvent himself. He doesn’t have the same roles. Say for example, Mark Wahlberg, who I also like, has been a cop in movies more than once. Dark humor is what you’re going to get on this film, but it is done in a very tasteful manner. Tim Burton, the director of the film, has always been known to do films that have a gothic feel in it, and you’re going to see that on this flick, but with so many good films under his belt (Big Fish, Edward Scissorhands, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Batman), it is hard to ignore this one.
Johnny Depp definitely did a great job. His role was believable, and he’s going to make you flinch on your seat. Did I mention that the film IS musical? Yes, Sir Johnny did sing, even though he says he can’t, his voice sounded good to me. Helena Bonham Carter (Mrs. Lovett), well-known for her character in Harry Potter movie as Bellatrix, did justice to her role as well. Alan Rickman (Snape in Harry Potter) played the role of Judge Turpin.
Now, I don’t want to write any spoilers here, all I can tell you is that it is gory all the way, through and through, but the all the singing and dark humor would surely entertain you. Five out of five stars!
Are you planning to watch this film, too?
