Eight Hours
Nov 26, 2007 Buzz, Daily Blurbs, School
I finished 8 hours of my internship last Saturday, and boy, was I tired! Well, I guess, it was because I didn’t get enough sleep the previous night. Our class on Fridays is up to 7pm, and I when I went to bed around 11pm that night, and I tossed and turned until 2am. I could not sleep. My eyes stayed wide open, so I decided to listen to my iPod until I doze off. Listening to music actually helps me sleep. Most people cannot sleep with the music on, but I can. Well, the songs on my iPod are slow songs, so that helps, too.
I got up at 7am that day and I was ready to go to my OJT1. It takes me about 30 minutes to get there, which is an advantage. Lexie and Richard, was already waiting for my by the shed. We walked to the compound and went to the main office. Our boss gave us instructions on what our tasks are for the day.
I was assigned to do a folder brochure for Adrien Multimedia Inc. He gave me specific instructions on what he wants to see. He actually has a keen eye for a good design. He knows what he wants and how it should be done. Even so, he still gives his people the freedom to add their personal touches. I wasn’t able to finish the design that day, I wasn’t given a deadline. Our boss just wants to make sure that we were able to do something for that day, and fast. It’s a great thing that their computers have enough memory.
By 5:30pm, he came by the IT Department and checked on us. He was with his cute little boy who named himself “Robin”. He said, his older brother’s name is “Batman”! He’s three years old and his dad wants to find a babysitter for him because he is extremely naughty. Well, it’s quite normal for boys his age.
We go back on Thursday for another 8 hours of work. I plan on bringing my iPod to work, though. I actually got bored staring at the computer for those 8 hours.

Got Ink?
Nov 26, 2007 Hype
My dad recently bought a brand new printer. We were having trouble replacing the printer ink of the previous one, plus even if we find one, it is quite expensive. The ink cartridge for the black and the colored is actually the same price as getting the new printer. That’s how expensive it was.
Now getting a new set of ink cartridges would be easier. Cartridge Finder is actually one of the best ways to get the exact ink cartridges that we needed. They have an easy-to-use interface to let you find the correct cartridge for more than 10,000 different models of printers, copiers, and fax machines. They are also tied up with PriceGrabber.com’s merchant listings to get the best prices for the product that you are looking for. You can even check out their laser toner.
I actually need to print my case study report next week. There are pictures in them, so that means I will have to use up a lot of ink. It’s a good thing getting new ones won’t be a problem anymore.

Limited Access in Paypal?
Nov 24, 2007 Daily Blurbs, Stuff
Wasn’t I the happiest person when I learned that I can use paypal they way it’s supposed to be used? But why, dear Paypal did you do give me a limited access?
I was about to pay for my upgraded domain/hosting plan the other day when paypal gave me an error page saying I cannot use my account to send money. Of course, I was annoyed. I sent a text message to the greatest, Pao, and asked the biggest favor of paying my domain/hosting through her paypal. I will pay her back of course, once this paypal fiasco is over. Paypal, is not being a pay pal.
I already sent them the needed documents to prove that I am who I am and I live where I say I do. I just hope I get a quick response. I want to make use of my funds, I want to buy another domain, and I don’t want to be hassled by paying through bank transfers. I just hope I get a resolution as soon as possible.
