I’ve learned about audio/video editing from school last semester, and this Christmas my family is planning on sending videos to our relatives abroad via DVDs. But sometimes it’s a hassle to edit videos, since most of the time I have to cut a lot of unecessary footage.
It’s a good thing that my PC has an HDMI cable. It lessens the hassle of looking through the video streams, since it helps transmit uncompressed, encrypted digital streams flawlessly.
I just hope that I’ll be able to squeeze all the good footages in a 120-minute DVD-R. I mean, with, maybe, 4 hours of video streaming? I doubt that I can do it in a day.

Lousy Broadband Connection

Has anyone noticed a sudden drop of speed the past few days? I know it’s not my computer. I just reformatted my machine and I definitely do not have a virus or any spyware. According to their lousy speedtest, my download speed is up to 99.65 kbps, I have to reiterate the up to in the test result because that means it could be much lower than that. You never know what’s up with them. Every time I call their “technical support” I always encounter an incompetent agent. I know for a fact that I am not talking to a technical person because I find myself stuck on hold because the agent doesn’t understand some of the terms that I use when I call.
I hope they establish a better support for their subscribers. Last month, I had to call them almost everyday because I lost my connection. The call agent would tell me that they will expedite my issue and that I should expect a call back, but, when did I get the call back? After two weeks! I got my connection back after 24 hours, and I got a call back after two weeks? Why did they call?
Agent: Good afternoon, ma’am. How is your connection through PLDT myDSL?
Me: It’s fine.
Agent: Is there anything else I can do for you today?
Me: You didn’t do anything for me today, or on the days that I called. No, thanks.
Awkward silence.
Agent: Uhm.

The agent hung up on me. Wow, world class service! I wouldn’t need orovo detox pills to lose weight because of their freaking service! I wonder when I will get to speak with a competent agent who knows more than I do. I just hope this connection becomes better, or I’ll switch come March, when this subscription ends. Pfft.

World Trip

My friend recently told me that is will be leaving for Europe next year. The news was quite sudden, but she encouraged me come visit her. Of course, as a 
student, I don’t have the means right now to travel the world. She then informed me that her aunt books her flights at Holiday Hypermarket. They’re actually flying over this Christmas.
I checked out the website and actually saw a lot of cheap deals for flights all over Europe. A trip to Egypt caught my attention. The view from the poolside along Nile river is breathtaking. I hear, the experience of getting there is amazing.
I am looking forward to graduating soon. That means I can start working and save up for a trip to Europe, London, in particular. That’s where my friend would go. Like I said, at Holiday Hypermarket, you can get a lot of good deals, even you want to book a flight at the last minute.
