Birthday Aftermath
Dec 22, 2006 Daily Blurbs
mood: PMSing / Happy
location: Netopia @ SM Mall of Asia
Ryan and I met up with his workmates here at the SM Mall of Asia. We went here because we have to exchange the slippers Ryan bought yesterday. So today, I will talk about what happened yesterday.
I woke up at 9am with a heavy feeling in my heart. The only ones at home are my sister, who’s sleeping; my brother, who’s playing with his gameboy; and me. I saw that there are some meat that are thawing in the kitchen. So I thought, maybe I can do this by myself. Ten minutes later, my mom came home and greeted me a happy birthday, but refused to kiss me because I haven’t washed my face yet or brushed my teeth! :haha:
I took both my cellphones to check for messages. A few of my friends sent me greetings, my dad and my cousins, too. I called Ryan on his cellphone so that he’d wake up and come to my house to help me cook and stuff. You see, my mom had to leave again because she had to go somewhere important.
I started to clean, cut and dice all the things needed for cooking spaghetti. I boiled water for the spaghetti noodles, washed the big pan that I will use for the sauce and cleaned the dining table. I was in the middle of cooking the meat for the sauce when my friend, Dyan, called to say that she and Glenn, her boyfriend, is already coming over because they can’t stay long. Even if I felt so pressured, I just let them come instead taking a chance if they should or shouldn’t. When they got here, Glenn insisted that he’d be the one to cook and that I should just sit down and relax. But of course I didn’t relax. I did something else, like wash the dishes, sweep the floor, and fix up the living room.

Ryan was supposed to arrive at noon, but he got there at 2:30pm. Apparently, he swung by the Mall of Asia to buy me a pair of Havaianas slippers as a birthday present. :gift: Aww…. That’s why when I tell him that I’d buy a new pair he’d say “NO!” or “It’s ugly” :haha: Unfortunately, it was a size smaller.. :faints:

Will Today Be A Disaster?
Dec 21, 2006 Daily Blurbs
It’s my birthday today and it doesn’t feel like it is. I don’t even know if I will have anything to cook for later. I am now half-considering to cancel the little party. I mean, I believe my mom will go somewhere this morning. So that means, there will be no one to help me. This is the worst start-of-birthday ever! Plus my sister and I are still not in good terms, and the other sister is working. My brother could help, but not with the cooking. Ryan said that he’d be here at noon to help. Well, I hope there will be something to cook.

Little Miss Un-Sunshine!
Dec 17, 2006 Daily Blurbs
Today was one of those “happy” days. Ryan and I went to Glorietta to watch Little Miss Sunshine. Go watch it! It’s one of those dark comedies that makes you laugh and cry and feel different sorts of emotions. It doesn’t have spectacular effects, but the witty dialogue makes up for it, although I am not really a big fan of *big effects* movies. The characters weren’t played by Hollywood A-Listers, but I think all the actors did justice to the film, specially Abigail Breslin (Olive). It’s rated R-13 because of the grandfather’s cussing, but without it, everyone can watch it.
After the movie, we walked and walked inside the mall to find a gift for my brother because he’s the one I picked for our family’s yearly kris kringle. I bought him a messenger bag from Human, it’s dark gray. I just hope he likes it.
We decided to walk towards Greenbelt so that we can get to the 6pm mass early and get seats. But because of all the walking, we both became thirsty. Since we are in Greenbelt, getting water or anything to drink that is NOT coffee and is not cheap, is 1 out of 10. He didn’t like Coke Light, so we had to walk towards McDonald’s which is at the far end of Greenbelt. Ugh
My face looked tired and annoyed about the circumstance. Ryan keeps on asking for me to just sit at the bench and he’d run towards McDee’s and get us something to drink. But I said NO three times and told him that I don’t like waiting. I didn’t want to spoil the good day, so little miss un-sunshine showed up.
I don’t mean to look like that, but it’s hard for me to pretend I am OK when I am not. I did apologize to him about that. I cleared to him that it’s not him, it’s the situation. He said before I apologized, “I am making a way for us to get drinks, it’s not like I am doing nothing…” That made me feel a little bit guilty, I didn’t mean for him to feel that it’s all his fault.
We were able to buy Sprite at McDee’s. We attended the mass after sitting for a while on a bench in front of Italliani’s. We weren’t late for the mass, but it was too late for us to get any seats, so both my feet and legs hurt because I had to stand for an hour.
After the mass, we headed back to Glorietta and decided to eat at McDee’s. Our first choice was KFC, but it seemed like the aircon doesn’t work because it was hot inside. We didn’t want the day to end yet, but I have to get home early because my mom and I had a little dispute the other day. Besides, we’re going to see each other again on Wednesday :cheerful:
