Get Over It
Sep 14, 2006 Daily Blurbs, School
Well… I was saddened by the fact that Toby Rand did not win Rockstar Supernova. I was in complete disbelief by the fact that Lukas Rossi won. I want a recount!
:outrage:
So, school was a bit boring today. On our Basic Computer Concepts (BASICON) class, we were divided into two groups and had a little contest. Whichever group wins gets an additional 2% on our pre-final grades. It was a raise to 10. Too bad we lost by 1 point. Oh well… It’s not like I need the additional 2%, but I was hoping my groupmates get the chance to get better grades because, according to our professor, they really need it.
During the class, I was called to the Dean’s Office for an interview for our school newspaper. I applied to be the Literary Editor. Two months before, I was hoping to be a part of the newspaper, but now, I am not even sure. This means that I will be very busy with school, the newspaper and Ryan, too. I might even have less time for Ryan, or myself. Well, let’s see what happens. I just hope for the best.
I am still trying to get used to Ryan’s new schedule. He now works from 4pm upto 1am. So that means, we have no time to talk on the phone anymore, because when I go home at 3pm, he’s already left for work. We try to catch up when he comes home at 1:30am. That leaves me sleeping quite late and too lazy to wake up in the morning. What can I do if the guy just misses me that much? Lol. Well, I miss him as much, too. *Yikes! The mushynessity!* (New word from GP)
Anyway, lots of birthdays are coming up this September. Tomorrow, the 15th, is Karl’s 25th birthday. On the 19th is JeAr’s 24th birthday and on the 23rd is Pao’s. I’ll see Ryan on Saturday because his friend, Myda, is having her birthday, too. Her real birthday is on the 19th as well. His other friend mentioned that it would be Videoke night. Lotsa singing and partying will go on until the morning. Ohmigah, Dré. Brace yourself!
I am currently coding a new theme for this blog. This theme has been up for quite a while, although I love it, some of you might be sick and tired of looking at the same old girl under an umbrella. It’s not even the rainy season anymore! Or, at least, it hasn’t been raining lately. A dark layout will be on its way soon. I might add a theme switcher plugin so if you don’t like the dark one, you can switch back to this.
My brother is better now. He already attended school yesterday. Then when my sister came home yesterday, she came down with fever, too. She still went to school today. She’s really diligent like that. Then, when I got home today, I found my mom in bed. She’s sick, too. Man! The virus has been passed on. I hope not to me! I hope they all feel better soon. My dad is coming home from work tomorrow. Our fridge needs some loving. There is virtually NO food! Hopefully, when my dad gets home tomorrow, they’d have time to do the grocery. I mean, our fridge only has water in it and some veggies.
Ohmen… I still can’t get over Lukas winning Supernova! Dilana would’ve been a better choice over him.
Get over it! Lol. :haha:
Have a great Friday everyone!

The Meeting
Sep 10, 2006 Daily Blurbs
The day turned out better than expected. We met at around 2pm at Glorietta and ate at World Chicken. The movie started at 3:30pm, so we had time to eat and walk around. By 3pm, we entered the cinema and found a place in the on the 5th row from the last row, smacked down in the middle. I like watching a movie in the middle of a row. It’s a good thing that we got in there earlier than the others because a lot of people went in to watch. There were no seats left.
The Devil Wears Prada is a feel-good movie. The tandem between Miranda (Meryl Streep) and Andrea (Anne Hathaway) was perfectly mixed. The movie leans towards being a chick flick, so go grab your girl friends when you watch it.
After watching the movie, we grabbed frapuccino’s at Starbucks. I have a new favorite there. I used to love Rhumba Frappe, but it was phased out, so I tried a new drink, Java Chip Frappe. The taste is similar to Rhumba, so I instantly fell in love with it! :crushy:
Then Ryan wanted to buy a new casing for his Nokia 7610. We did window shopping; looked into different gadget stores, because I am so wanting slash needing a laptop. We also went to A Different Bookstore, and when I entered the place, I thought I was having a bookgasm :haha: I was actually debating with myself whether to get Anansi Boys or A Million Little Pieces by James Frey. I ended up buying nothing.
So we hopped off to SM (Shoemart) to buy a box of donuts from Go Nuts Donuts. My mom actually asked for me to buy pasalubong for her, she even specified for it to come from Go Nuts Donuts. :haha:
We got home at 8:30pm. My mom was already fast asleep. My brother, ZJ, is sick and was hogging the three-seater sofa. My dad was outside somewhere in someone else’s house. He was with his buddies from the neighborhood, socially drinking. So Ryan and I just flipped through all the cable channels available, and settled for Monster-In-Law showing on HBO.
We didn’t finish the movie because he had to go home before 10:30pm. The transportation in and out of our subdivision is only until 11pm, so we had to hussle. Before we went to the waiting shed, we passed by the house where my dad was. I introduced him to Ryan. Ryan offered the handshake. As my dad’s hand was locked with his, he said, “Thanks for visiting my child.” Which, to me, was kind of funny. Hehehe.
Ryan mentioned that my dad seems really nice. Of course, my dad is. Anyway, he’s yet to be scrutinized when he’s had his time sitting down with my dad in a long conversation.
I am off to see Ryan in 2 hours. We will be hearing mass and eating dinner. Have a great weekend everyone!

Supernova
Sep 8, 2006 Daily Blurbs, School
The past few days have gone too fast. It’s the weekend once more and tomorrow, Ryan and I will watch a movie, The Devil Wears Prada at Glorietta. After the movies, he will be meeting the other parent. He’s not even scared of meeting my dad, he was the one who suggested that instead of going to a bar later that night with our friends, we’ll just go straight to our house and spend time with my family. Isn’t that something?
Anyway, today’s class was a waste of time, uniform and fare. I was 10 minutes late, but I wasn’t even concerned because I knew that our professor will be late. He always is. I got in the classroom and the smell reeked of pungent and musty. Then I noticed that some of my boy classmates were sitting in front of the air con. Eww! So I sat beside Lexie to catch my breath. It felt so hot inside the air conditioned room because those guys were in the way of the air con. Yuck.
As usual, the boys in front of the air con were noisy as hell. Their laugh is toxic, especially this one guy with one brow! Hahaha! Like yesterday, I asked them nicely to lower down their voices, but of course, the jerks they are (well, some.) they didn’t care. I was having a bad headache yesterday, and of course, the noise just fueled the pain.
Back to our class today, the professor was 20 minutes late. He entered the class and it seemed to me that he was not prepared for the day. I believe that he is one of the coordinators for our upcoming Sports Fest, so one of the students knocked on the door and asked for him. He left the class for another 10 minutes. Pfft. He came back and asked Charity to write our lecture on the white board, which he should’ve done when he first came in, because we didn’t finish the lecture, and we’re supposed to have a quiz about it next meeting, I think.
So I went home defeated and beat.
I turned on the computer and continued to fix my clique, The Filipino Exchange. Lexie helped me with it. She made the layout and the CSS. I coded it for Wordpress and added some styles on the CSS. The layout is actually neat. I love the colors used and the way the collage turned out. Lexie is talented like that. Naks. So, go visit her! - Lexie Lexie Lexie
Anyway, anyone here watches Rockstar Supernova? My favorites were Ryan Star, Dilana and Toby Rand. Ryan’s out, and Dilana’s being a bitch, so my only favorite right now is Toby. Is teh love… :crushy: His last performance was a cover of Mr Brightside (The Killers) and his original composition, which was smashingly the best among the other contestants, Throw It Away. His original song was very catchy, especially the “Uh oh, uh oh, uh oh” part. You’d know when you hear it. You’d even remember the tune and it fits any LSS (Last Song Syndrome) you might have. I also found out that we have the same birthday from this website. Soulmates? Har har har. Dream on, Dré! In the finals, I am hoping to see Toby and Magni battle it out with the ending that Toby wins, of course! So, next week, do watch it!
