The Mark III
Aug 29, 2006 Fiction
A month has passed and I thought I’d never survive a day without him. My family and friends are to thank. Without their support, I would be moping until now.
My close friend, Kate and I went out for dinner and a movie. That was my usual weekend after Mark and I parted ways. Kate helped me forget about the past and move on. Weekends were therapy for me. On that night, we decided to go to Eastwood Libis. We were scoping the place out for a good place to eat. But Kate wanted to buy some CDs, so we went to the mall. While we were browsing all the new releases, Kate saw Mark.
He was with the same girl. I didn’t look at first, but then Kate said that they seem to be having an argument. So I peaked. Yes, they seem to be in a heated discussion. I couldn’t make out the words they were saying, except that their body langguage screamed, MAD.
Mark suddenly walked off towards where we were. I hurriedly ducked, but it was too late. He saw Kate and I. He started to walk towards us. I wanted to walk away, but it felt like my feet were planted where I was standing. Kate looked at me with a puzzled expression. She asked me if we should leave. My mouth felt dry.
Mark: Hi Dre, Kate.
Me: Hey…
Kate: Oh hi. We were just leaving.
Me: Yeah. Bye, Mark.
He held me by the wrist.
Mark: Wait. Dre, please, can we talk?
Me: Uhmm, Kate and I have to…
Mark: Dre, I knew you were there. I knew you saw us. Do you know how much I felt so stupid?
Me: Stupid? YOU? That’s an understatement and you know that.
Kate: Dre?
Me: I’ll end it now, Kate. Just find a place to eat and I’ll call you.
Kate: Ok. If you’re sure…
Me: Yes, I’m.
I knew that eventually it will come to this, that Mark and I would talk about what really happened to us. I still think God was kind enough to let me move on before he let us meet again.
Me: So, what now? Don’t you think you owe me an apology?
Mark: Dre, remember that one week you avoided me? I was going to. You never gave me a chance.
Me: You’re still with her, don’t you think talking to me is so inappropriate. C’mon Mark, give me a break.
Mark: We are not together, Jade and I. We were NEVER together. Can we sit somewhere?
And, so. This is another Starbucks moment. Found a table at the corner.
Me: So talk. Why are you here together? You know we saw you.
Mark: She followed me. I called your house and your mom told me where you are, so I came. I want to talk to you. I miss you, I still love you.
Me: Shut up! No, you don’t love me. Why were you kissing her?
Mark: You know how I never say “No” to dares right? That’s why she’s here, she followed me. She knew Jack told me all about the dare, how she planned it all; how she’s always wanted to have me. But I never ever in a million world thought of her as someone other than a dare.
Me: Stop lying to me.
Mark: Dre, you know me. I never lie to you. Maybe, I didn’t say anything, but it doesn’t mean I lied to you.

Meet The Parent
Aug 26, 2006 Daily Blurbs, School
After Star City and Mall of Asia yesterday, I came home with Ryan. I introduced him to my sister, Juvy, my brother ZJ and my mom. My dad wasn’t home yet yesterday because he’s still in Batangas and my other sister was sleeping. He was here for a good 45 minutes because he has to go home at 10pm. The service out of our subdivision is only until 10:30pm.
I believe my mom likes him. They were the only ones talking the whole time, I was just there sitting, eating a donut that we bought from Go Nuts Donuts, observing their exchange of stories. Mostly, they talked about her work, his work, where he lives and what he does.
At ten minutes before 10pm, I accompanied Ryan and waited for the service so he could go home, which is two hours from here. He said that my mom is cool and he liked her. He says they would click, too. I am glad that my mom and Ryan hit it off. Now his life is in my father’s hands. Lol.
My sister’s boyfriend, Tan, saw him when we boarded the service to get home, he was with my sister. He said, “Ang gwapo ng boylet mo ah.” (Your boylet is good looking) I said, “Really?” He replied with his usual funny lines, “Well, he’s not as good looking as I am, but he is good looking.” Hahaha!
Tomorrow, we’ll meet again because I have a meeting with Ringo and Lexie at Robinson’s Galleria. He insisted on coming, so, I said OK.
Anyway, Star City was fun! We got there around 10am. We were supposed to watch the program at the Aliw Theatre but the venue is full already so we decided to just enjoy the rides.
The first one we rode was the Carousel. I just dragged them there because I’ve always ridden that ride when I was a kid and I just want to ride in it again. After that we wanted to try the Bumper Cars, but the queue was super long, so we opted for the Zyclon Loop. Wow. Now, that’s amazing. But it wouldn’t compare to Enchanted Kingdom’s Space Shuttle. But still, it was nerve racking and thrilling. Then we went to “The Mummy” next which is supposed to be a horror house, but, I think I screamed because it was so dark, you can’t see anything except, well, nothing. I was holding on to Niño’s hand, and Lexie’s arm the whole time. I was walking and tripping with them, too. Hahaha. We also went into the Lion King ride, which is a sort of boat ride where you enter a cave and they tell you the story of The Lion King, which is in Filipino. After that, we rode the Wacky Dragon which is for kids, and we just want to try it because we’re bored.
Ryan was coming at around that time, lunch. So, some of us decided to sit on a bench and wait for him until he arrives. We’re all hungry! He came with his friend, Glen, who prides himself as a Sam Milby look alike, which in some angles, he does. He was quite funny and he reminded me of JeAr, Lexie agrees, she actually pointed it out. So we took pictures while we were waiting for the others to meet with us at the exit so that we could go to the Mall of Asia.
We rode cabs to get there. We had 3 separate cabs, and there was this weird incident. So the first cab was with Lexie, Niño, Hannah, Melai, Chacha, Mico and Mikey. The next was with Myriam and Pj. The last is with me, Ryan, Glen… and…….. two other people WE DON’T KNOW! I kept asking Ryan who are they, and he said, classmates nya, and I was confused. So I asked the two people who were they and they just smiled at me. I asked Ryan again and again but he just says their his classmates. Ryan paid for the ride, P20 per person, and I don’t know if those two thanked him. When we got off the cab, I asked him again who they were. Then he said, “Aren’t they your classmates? I said, “Ohmigah! You just paid for someone we don’t even know?” He thought that I was kidding when I told him I don’t know them. Isn’t that weird?

Tomorrow should be a day of fun. I will be going to Star City together with my classmates at school. It’s the 23rd anniversary of STI, so there would be some sort of program at the Aliw Theatre and of course, we have tickets to use all the available rides. Cool? Maybe. I would’ve settled for Enchanted Kingdom, but Star City would do. Ryan will be joining us after he gets off work at 12:30pm. He says we’d eat at the Mall of Asia, which I haven’t been, too, so I am excited to go there
So, I told my mom that Ryan is coming here at home, tomorrow. I told her how I knew him and of course she had to ask questions about him and his home life. Well, his parents are both in the USA. Dad is in Burbank, CA and his mom and brother is in New York. He currently lives with his aunt’s family at their home. I also told my mom that he graduated college already and he’s a nice guy, and that I am bringing him home so that she could size him up. Lol. My mom says that she knows that I am at the right age already, so… But still, I want my family to get to know him. My dad won’t be home until Saturday, so he’d meet Ryan next time.
GP, Pao and I are back again for a new message board. I removed my forum a year ago due to bots that have been registering and it was really hard for me to remove it. Some old members have been emailing me about putting it back up, so I did. I know this time there wouldn’t be any spam bots because I installed hacks for it. I am not using Simple Machines, it’s convenient to use. I can install mods and hacks in a click of a button, no more uploading hassles when I want new themes. If you want to join us, just register at The Wickeds MB.
Oh, guys, I have been listening to this song, Oo by Up Dharma Down for the nth time. If you have no idea what I am talking about, you may listen to it here. It doesn’t really relate to my life right now, but I just like the song and I might get the CD. I like artists who have really strange, or should I say, unique voices. It distinguishes them from the pool of artists that we have now.
I guess, I’ll just post pictures tomorrow when I get home from Star City. By the way, anyone interested to read The Mark III?
My cousin sent me an email. She currently lives in Florida, and she asked my opinion if she needed her breast augmented. She said she plans to try Miami cosmetic surgery, but I told her to wait it out, because she’s too young to decide on things like this. I hope she makes a good decision.
