Cousin’s Family Visit
Jul 17, 2006 Daily Blurbs
They arrived last Friday and they’re all here until tuesday. Yesterday, we all went to my aunt’s house and had dinner. My niece, Ann is super sexy right now! The last time I saw her was in 1998. Her sister, Paula, was here in 2004. She’s all grown-up in a span of a 2 years. She poses like a model, too. Ken, their dad, is so talkative! The last time they were here, back in 2004, I would be the one he always talks to.

So last night we had a chat about a lot of things. He says he’s glad I am back to school and that if I needed any help, I could always email him. My cousin, Carol, gave me 2 pairs of jeans and a Nike sunvisor. Yey! They’re off to Japan tomorrow, so tonight, we’re all going to Makati and eat dinner. My uncle had dinner reservations somewhere, I don’t know where. I will miss them when they leave.. Sad.. Enjoy the pictures!

With JayR For The Night
Jul 15, 2006 Daily Blurbs
I was supposed to post “The Mark III” today, but other news came up, so it will be posted on Monday, or earlier.
I’ll start the good news.
First, my cousin, Carol, together with her family, arrived in Manila yesterday. They currently reside in Japan, her hubby is from the USAF. From Singapore, they took a chance to get cheap tickets to fly here. They literally don’t have suitcases with them! They came here for a short visit, until Tuesday, and to go shopping. Tomorrow, they will be coming here, where we live, to visit our grandma. I am so excited to see Ann May, her first daughter. You see, Carol, Ken (hubby) and Paula (2nd daughter), came home in 2004; while Ann hasn’t been here for at least 10 years! That long! I miss her to bits, and plus, I want to see how tan she is. She’s meztisa, and she went to Panama recently for spring break (she studies at Florida for college).
Second, tonight, I went to JayR’s exclusive dinner party at Meza Tomas Morato QC. Karl, the VP of his fans club invited me to come. I decided to share this experience with my mom because she is so showbiz! I mean, whenever there is a chance, she would force me to sing in public, so before we arrived, I already warned her not to put me on the spot. When we got there by 6:30pm, there were no people yet, so my mom and I decided to eat at Cheesecake first. I had Cafe Mocha and Blueberry Cheesecake; mom had Ham Sandwich and Cappuccino. After eating, we headed to the venue and met with Karl. He introduced me to all of JayR’s people. Coolness. Guys, this is Dre, the person behind JayR’s Official Fanlisting. Naks!
When JayR arrived, Karl immediately introduced me to him. JayR reached out for my hand, kissed me on the cheek and said, “Hey Dre! We finally meet. Remember when we talked sa Myspace in the wee hours of the morning? I was a bit wasted then. *laughs* It’s really nice to see you!” Imagine that, he remembered me? I was so touched and surprised.
After tonight, I believe my admiration for him became stronger. I mean, he is so down-to-earth. He even had this alalay na he has been with even before he became a singer. She told us the most memorable experience she had with JayR. On her birthday, JayR surprised her with a party at Little Asia. She said, “Sino ba naman ako para gawan nya ng ganon? Hindi sya nagbago mula’t sapul.” Wow.
We also had this game called “Human Bingo”, where we had to go around asking people if they have this or that, and if they do, they’d sign their name. Everyone was standing up, and it was pure chaos. Most of them were flooding JayR and Jimmy Muna. Then JayR came up to me and said, “Could you sign mine, too? I’ll sign yours.” View image here
See what I mean? He is so approchable, easy to talk to… he even makes the first move to connect with people. I admire this side of him more.
Of course, I would not leave without souvenirs. Even my mom warned me that if we get home without a picture with him, she’d kick me. LOL! Besides the pictures, JayR made sure everyone came home with something from him. He gave each of us a goodie bag from Bench. I got a shirt and a blouse inside an autographed paper bag, plus I was able to have him sign the CD I have of him.

It was a totally fun day for me! By the way, Kix asked me if I want to be the DMA representative for our Student Council. Hmmm…
