This, this and that!

Bawal ang tamad mag-basa! Lazy reader, stay away!
This coming Friday is the graduation day of my sister, Juvy. It will be held at the Folk Arts Theatre. I am so proud of her! :cheerful: She finished Accounting at Polytechnic University of the Philippines. (PUP). I wonder what :gift: my dad would give her. Hmm… Honestly, she didn’t like her course, but my mom brainwashed her. :haha: It doesn’t matter now because she has finished her race, and I wish I was her…
Going to school this coming June is not looking good. I am trying to get as many clients as possible so that I can raise enough money. I am crossing my fingers that this person my friend told me about would go through hiring me to make his website, which will cost about $250 for me. I don’t want to count my chicks ’til the eggs hatch, but I am hoping he hires me!
Summer. Bah! Actually, it’s my most hated season. Yes, I do love the beach and it doesn’t rain much, and those are the only two upsides to it. What I most hate about summer? The heat! The never ending heat that feels like melted butter on your skin when the clock strikes 10am! Even the wind feels hot. We do not have an aircon, so boohoo!
I am currently reading, What’s So Amazing About Grace? by Philip Yancey. It was voted as the Book of the Year (not sure what year). I don’t know why I started to read it. Maybe because I want to feel inspired? I don’t know. I am not much of a church goer. I am not agnostic, though. I guess, somehow, I want to feel that something else. More hopeful about life, maybe? I did go to church last Sunday and we have a new parish priest, which made going to church not such a drag. His name is Fr. Manny. He talked about how we can go to heaven, and he says it is only through Jesus. Right now, I am not saying that I believe that there is heaven, but I am hoping that there is life after death.
I have been bloghopping a lot this past few hours, and I came across Sarah’s. She’ saying goodbye to everyone. I don’t know her real reason for this, but I do hope that she’s doing alright. I will miss her blog entries. Definitely.
I also read Jem’s new entry and she talked about missing someone. Apparently, she and her boyfriend has cooled it off for a while. It made me think about how it feels to be in that situation. Been there, done that, I always say. Cooling off could mean a lot of things, one or the other. It could jumpstart the relationship to its original spark, or it could mean that the relationship has fallen apart. Either way, for me, it’s a win win situation. Why? For my first reason, it is quite obvious why; for the latter, well, at least you had the chance to share a part of your lives together and it also means that you are not meant to be and that you are meant for someone better.
I guess, I miss the feeling of being in a relationship, but it is not something that I look for. I don’t want to sound obnoxious, but I like the idea of being found by the person who deserves to be with me. Someone asked me a few months back why, until now, I don’t have a boyfriend. Simple answer really… he hasn’t found me… Funny how that person told me a week ago how he felt safe and content being around me, but he shows something else. I don’t need words, I need the act of what you say. Anyway, he’s a goner, and I don’t care about him.
And… if I get ten bucks every time someone says I look like Kim Sam Soon, I would be rich by now! The first one who told me that I look like her is my mom. Of course, I thought she was just mocking me because I am chubby like her and we both have the “Bang Power” :haha: Yes, I have been mistaken as a Korean, Japanese and Samoan before. My eyes, maybe? See, I have a drop of Chinese blood, a drop of Spanish blood and pure Pinoy blood in my bloodsteam. Then, my cousin told me I look like her. She works at GMA Network, a certified Kapuso. (Not me!) So, somehow, it confirms it, but I was still skeptical. Until, in MySpace more than 2 have said that I look like her in one of my pictures! And so on and so forth… I just had to receive a message that I look like some korean novela star. But, it’s okay. I like that series, but I don’t watch it religiously. I have a new favorite, Eternal Love, shown at ABS-CBN before TV Patrol. It just started this Monday. I don’t know why I like it, I guess the guy is cute :crushy: By the way, Scart, I cut my own bangs :hero: Juvy, cut hers and Chicka’s :yum:
[edit] I showed my friend the picture of Kim Sam Soon. I didn’t tell him that it wasn’t me. Then he said, You look nice.:omg: So does it really confirm that I look like her?!:depressed: [/edit]
By the way, I added free avatars on the For You section. Shortcut here.
And so I leave you with a word so short, yet so inevitable… Bye! (-:

The Water Fun
May 1, 2006 Daily Blurbs
The weekened was quite great. Since it was my grandma’s birthday last Saturday, we all went to Club Manila East to have some water fun
It’s less than an hour away from where we live, but when you get there, it’s like you are in a totally different region.
There are 6 different pools. One of them is for boating, well actually, kayaking (canoeing), which my sisters and I did. It was fun, but then the next day, my arms hurt as hell! ‘Til NOW! Too bad no one was there to take our pictures. The kids are in the kiddy pool, the others are on the other pool with the basketball ring, some on the pool with a giant swirling slide, and the rest are in the room.
The downside of that beautiful place is the fact that food and drinks (even water) are NOT ALLOWED! Well, since that is the case, we had to sneak in some chips, FITA, water and mangoes inside. :haha: When we were in the room, my uncle, who paid for everything, is complaining about their policy. You could say we could just go somewhere else, but, we are already there and we didn’t want to travel long hours. He says that in 5 star hotels, you are allowed to order even from McDonald’s, he continued by saying that the policy is unfair most specially because the food they sell in their cafeteria SUCKS! Super true!

Tres Marias. Gotta love that picture!:coolness: If you’ve noticed, I am tall among the three. Yep, I am tall, Juvy is taller and Chicka is tallest! :haha: I am 5 foot and half tall; Juvy is 5′ 4 and Chicka is 5′ 8.
See the bangs? Oh yes, the 2 imitated me! I always say, I got the “Bang Power” first. :suspicious2:
Let’s continue my water fun…
By 2:30 in the afternoon, my sisters and I decided to stay in the room. I don’t want to burn under the sun. It takes a while before I get my color back. I still have my swimsuit mark from Puerto Galera! My friend and I still plans to go to the beach this May, and I don’t want to be super dark after summer. I do love my color and I don’t want to be lighter than my original color, or darker. I want myself to be as is as God created me (or how my parents conceived me!)
Oh, and I HATE whitening product commercials! It brainwashes people, specially Pinays, to hate their natural tans. Geez! Foreigners love to get tanned, and Pinays wishes they are white as a ghost! No offense meant to those who want to become lighter. This is my opinion so, DEAL!
Best place I want to be in the summer? The beach. *insert bratty tone* I so want to go NOW! *insert pouty lips*
