Well, sort of…
Taglish entry ahead!
If you are not being redirected to my new URL, please click here. I changed the URL to “vita.onewickedsoul.com”.I have given up on finding different WP themes on the net, so I decided to just do my own without messing my mind up with the php langguage. I am just not in the mood for stress. Okay ba ung layout ko?
My friend from Georgia is planning to come here for the second time this April and he wants me to take him to the beach. The cheapest I can find in Boracay is Sun Village. It’s $65/person. He said that was a good deal and we’d go places. Well, I was hoping that this summer will be different and I get to go to different places. Pero, naisip ko lang, payagan kaya ako ng papa ko na sumama dun na ako lang mag-isa? Yung guy kasi na yon, pinakilala ng pinsan ko sa akin about 3 years ago, tapos we exchange emails, chats in YM and sometimes he calls. Nasa college sya ngayon and he is taking up engineering. He likes music and movies, and he is in the military. Sounds scary, huh? Pero hindi, kasi mabait sya at matalino. He’s a nice friend. Medyo excited ako kasi I love to travel the Philippines and he’s got two weeks to spend, so we plan to go to different beaches. Maybe, Palawan.
Sumali pala ako sa PinayTalk, where a LOT of Pinoys/Pinays are hanging out. I deleted my forum. I hated the phony people who registered para lang mag-advertise ng porn.
Ok naman yung mga tao dun, at na-inspire tuloy akong mag-Tagalog.
Tapos, my friend and I have this plan to put up a website. We will be registering the name this month pag nagka-pera na ako. It will be a blog din, pero share kami. Parang “He Said, She Said” ang theme. We’d put pictures of our vacation and our daily happenings, so it will be cool. I hope magka-pera ako.
Ang dami ko pang gustong bilhin. Tulad ng extra memory para sa computer ko, pc tablet at mga libro. Kasi masaya sanang magbasa ng tutorials sa internet, pero I want to read books. Sana may mag-magandang loob….
Sige, matutulog muna ako… :slp:

Before Sunrise, Before Sunset
Mar 4, 2006 Uncategorized
I bought the movie, Before Sunrise, about two months ago because I have heard from my friends that it is a good movie. Well, I must warn you, if you are the type who gets bored with movies that have lots of talking and talking and talking on it, then don’t watch the movie. But, then, you might be surprised. Anyway, it is a story of two strangers named Jesse and Celine, who met in a train to Vienna. Jesse is an American who went to Europe to see her girl friend. Celine is a French girl who was on her way to France for a vacation. Jesse, provocatively persuades Celine to take a chance and get off the train with him for a spontaneous walk around Vienna. Even if they only had 14 hours to spend before Jesse flies back to the US they were able to build something special together. In those hours, they fell in love. One of my favorite lines in that movie is:
Jesse: You know what’s the worst thing about somebody breaking up with you? Is when you remember how little you thought about the people you broke up with and you realize that is how little they’re thinking of you. You know, you’d like to think you’re both in all this pain but they’re just like ‘Hey, I’m glad you’re gone’.
In that movie, by sunrise, they went back to the train station and Celine had to get on board. They then decided to meet again after six months at that same place. They never exchanged phone numbers or addresses because they both thought that it’s a bad idea, that they might start to call and write each other but then it will just fade away. So, that’s where the story ended. Imagine how bitin I felt!
So, three days ago, my family went to the mall and I decided to buy Kelly Clarkson’s album. But I saw the movie on the shelf, so I bought “Before Sunset”.
Because I was so bitin a few months back, I just had to buy the movie. The sequel was shown in 2004, whereas the first one was in 1995. So in all those years, the people who have seen the movie at that time, would’ve wondered what happened. If they met after six months, if they marry each other and have kids… Of course, like them, I was so curious. Last night, I was able to have the chance to watch it.
The story took place in Paris, France. Jesse is now an author of a book about a supposedly fictional encounter of an American guy and a French girl who met on a train. In a bookstore, where Jesse was talking to the people who came for his book reading, they met again. Apparently, that bookstore was Celine’s favorite. Jesse had to catch a flight by 7:30 that night, but they decided to have coffee and talk about their experiences in the past 9 years. On their way to the cafe, they had to ask each other if they showed up after six months at the train station. Celine asked first, but Jesse insisted she answered first. She said she didn’t, and so Jesse said he didn’t either. Jesse asked why she didn’t show up, and she said that her grandmother died and she was burried that day when they were supposed to meet. But of course, Celine found out that Jesse did show up. He said that he was bummed out and stayed there for 2 days. He also put up a flyer with his name and phone number. It was obvious that the two were still into each other. But Jesse now has a wife and kid, and Celine has a boyfriend. Although Jesse only married his wife because she got pregnant and is not happy with her., while Celine has a photographer boyfriend who’s always in another country. From all the topics that they have talked about, they got down to the topic of love. Celine confided that Jesse probably took away all the special feelings in her, and now she felt numb. She doesn’t feel any kind of emotion. (Somehow I can relate) Celine was mad that all she has now is a married man. Jesse told her that up on that day when he was about to get married, he was still thinking of her that he even thought that he saw her walking along the streets of New York between the 13th and Broadway. Then she said, I lived in 11th and Broadway. OMG!
It all came down to Jesse riding the car with Celine. He is on his way to the airport and the driver was going to drop her off her place. Jesse then decided to walk her to her pad. He’s only got 15 minutes before his flight. When they got there, Jesse insisted that she sing him a song. I love the lyrics!
Let me sing you a waltz
Out of nowhere, out of my thoughts
Let me sing you a waltz
About this one night standYou were for me that night
Everything I always dreamt of in life
But now you’re gone
You are far gone
All the way to your island of rainIt was for you just a one night thing
But you were much more to me
Just so you knowI hear rumors about you
About all the bad things you do
But when we were together alone
You didn’t seem like a player at allI don’t care what they say
I know what you meant for me that day
I just wanted another try
I just wanted another night
Even if it doesn’t seem quite right
You meant for me much more
Than anyone I’ve met beforeOne single night with you little Jesse
Is worth a thousand with anybodyI have no bitterness, my sweet
I’ll never forget this one night thing
Even tomorrow, another arms
My heart will stay yours until I dieLet me sing you a waltz
Out of nowhere, out of my blues
Let me sing you a waltz
About this lovely one night stand
After the song, they talked for a while and she said,
Celine: You’re gonna miss your flight.
Jesse: I know…
The ending? That was it. I’d like to think that they continued where they’ve left off. At least, they answered the question, What could’ve been?
