Simple Plan slash Avril Concert

Last night, my sister and her friends were on our way to The Fort to watch Simple Plan’s and Avril Lavigne’s concert. Originally, there were only four of us, but my friend called me up yesterday, saying that he’s got 2 extra tickets. So we met up with him first at GoNuts and took the 2 extra tickets. So now, we’re six.
I’d say that the concert was great coz there are NO long intervals, the performances are all live and well worth standing for. Simple Plan came out first and performed for an hour. A break for 30 minutes and Avril came out and performed non-stop for an hour. I never knew she played the piano and the drums as well. She’s very talented and she performed like there is no tomorrow, just like Simple Plan.
Simple Plan made an effort to woo the crowd by saying Filipino words such as, “Mahal ko kayo, Manila!” “Galing Nyo” “Maraming Salamat”. They even mentioned that they will come back for another concert. Cool, huh?
Unlike Avril, who, after every performace, would just say Thank you and that it was nice to be there, but never really interacted with the audience. But how she performed made up for it.
Well, I am still waiting for Usher, Joss Stone and probably Maroon 5 and Matchbox 20. Until my next concert escapades!
